About Exposed and Honed Aggregate Pavers
These pavers are made of concrete— one rough and the other smooth. Each is versatile and reasonably priced.
Exposed Aggregate Pavers
With exposed aggregate pavers and their rough surface, you get the look of the individual stones comprising the mix. No two are the same. When compared with brushed or other types of concrete, exposed aggregate is more appealing and slip-resistant.
Honed Aggregate Pavers
Technically, honed aggregate is a version of exposed aggregate. Concrete aggregate is poured into moulds. Therefore, when dried, it is smooth on one side and rough on the other side. Honed aggregate pavers are nothing more (nor less) than the reverse side of exposed aggregate pavers that have been polished.
